Cyber Law College which started its operations in 2000 and was the first virtual education in India, is today an integrated training partner for FDPPI, Foundation of Data Protection Professionals in India. Hence the earlier focus on Cyber Laws has now been expanded to Personal Data Protection and supports the initiatives of FDPPI.
India has entered a new era of Digital Laws with the passage of Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA 2023) and gearing up for Digital India Act (DIA) which may replace Information Technology Act 2000.
It is therefore time for professionals to react to this change by updating their knowledge quickly to the emerging requirements.
Cyber Law College has already updated its courses to DPDPA 2023 version of the data protection law. Several courses have already been conducted successfully under the new law.
We believe that “Personal Data Protection” in India does not end with DPDPA 2023 but includes ITA 2000 as amended from time to time. Additionally, it has been observed that the Bureau of Indian Standards has published a draft requirement for Data Governance and Data Management in which some aspects of Data Privacy Risk Management has also been incorporated.
Hence Cyber Law College has combined several aspects of ITA 2000 and the BIS standard on Data Protection into its courses on Data Protection Law.
As a result of these changes, the courses of Cyber Law College have become unique and stand out against other apparently similar courses conducted by other organizations.
The flagship Certification program is C.DPO.DA. which is the certification program recommended for DPOs and Data Auditors under DPDPA 2023. It consists of three distinct modules namely Module I on Indian Data Protection Laws, Module G on global Data Protection laws and Module A on Audit requirements.
Module I covers DPDPA 2023 and ITA 2000
Module G covers GDPR, US data Protection Laws, Singapore data protection laws etc.
Module A covers DGPSI in detail along with essence of ISo 27001 and 27701.
The Course on Cyber Laws covering ITA 2000 alone continues.
Each of these programs are unique and rich with content. They will be available on tap in recorded mode and occasionally virtual or physical sessions may be conducted as required.
All trainees will get participation certificates for attending the program.
Students who take up the Certification examinations of FDPPI for Certification by paying necessary fee will on passing through the exam ,get the full certification from FDPPI.
